Dr. Veronica Constantine earned early admission to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry after obtaining her degree in Chemistry from Washington and Jefferson College. She received a second degree in Visual Science from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and a Doctor of Optometry in 1987.
Dr. Constantine was the recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award, The Irvin Borish Award, and Honors in Pediatrics. She completed a residency in primary eye care and ocular disease at The Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Following her residency, she became Clinical Faculty at The Eye Institute. Dr. Veronica has numerous professional presentations, has been published in professional journals, and authored a chapter in a textbook. She returned to the Western Pennsylvania area in 1989 to join Heath America as a staff Optometrist and became Director of Quality Assurance for the department. Dr. Constantine was adjunct Clinical Faculty of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and established an externship site for Optometric students during her time at Health America. She went into private practice in 1998, is a past recipient of the Trib Total Media Award for best eye care in the western suburbs. She has mentored optometric and pre-optometric students throughout her career. As of January 2021, Dr. Constantine is excited to become part of the Eger Eye Group practicing exclusively at her current Moon Township location.
Dr. Constantine resides in Moon Township with her husband, has two sons, both of which graduated from Moon High School. In her spare time, Dr. Veronica enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, reading, and gardening.
