Since 1941, the Eger Eye Group has provided family eye care to the greater Pittsburgh area. We are a multidisciplinary practice consisting of therapeutic optometrists, a general ophthalmologist, and opticians.

Our eye doctors are some of the area’s finest clinicians who apply the most advanced methods of diagnosis and treatment for refractive disorders, including cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma. We perform and/or manage the latest methods of refractive surgery, (LASIK, PRK, etc.). The doctors of Eger Eye specialize in many areas including specialty contact lenses, eye plastics, low vision, refractive surgery, pediatrics, geriatrics, and primary eye care. Our practice offers a wide selection of affordable contact lenses and eyeglasses for the entire family.

Our team consists of a wonderful staff, therapeutic optometrists, a general ophthalmologist, and opticians. We also refer and co-manage with several subspecialists in Western Pennsylvania such as corneal surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, retinal surgeons, glaucoma surgeons. These fine doctors have provided our patients with exceptional care when called upon.


Since 1941, we have remained committed to our surrounding communities. We support our local towns, schools, worship centers, and charities through financial donations and volunteering. In addition, we support many other local, state and national organizations.


Our years of experience have helped us establish ourselves as the most trusted eye doctor in the area.
