Retinopathy
Diabetic
Retinopathy is the most common cause of blindness
in the United States. This condition results from
uncontrolled diabetes resulting in broken blood vessels
in the retina which can decrease vision. This disease
can be treated and vision loss prevented, if diagnosed
early enough.
It is very important that all diabetics have yearly
dilated eye exams. Your eye care professionals at
the Eger Eye Group can tell you if you show signs
of diabetic eye disease by performing comprehensive
evaluations. We can also provide state-of-the-art
laser treatment when indicated.
